Jerez Beaches

There is no doubt that one of the main natural resources of the province of Cádiz is its great variety of beaches. These are characterised by a white fine sand and transparent water. Along the 260 kms of coast, you can find both virgin and urban beaches with infrastructure, small creeks or extensive sandy beaches ranging several kilometres, familiar and intimate beaches, quiet and windy beaches for those who love windsurf. Many of these obtain every year the Blue Flag distinction of the clean European seas. To sum up, 138 kilometres of beach for your rest.

From Jerez you have the choice of going to the following beach resorts:

El Puerto de Santa Maria at 15 minutes
Chipiona at 40 minutes
Costa Ballena at 40 minutes
Rota at 1 hour
Cádiz city at 1 hour and half driving

Cadiz Beaches

Cortadura Beach

It has nearly 4000 m in lengh being one of the longest beach in Cádiz. It stretches from Cortadura (military residence) to Torregorda. It is considered still a wild beach with a fine golden sand and has been awarded with 7 blue flags.

La Victoria Beach

It is 2500 m long and has suffered some works to widen it and a promenade goes along the entire beach.Extending to the edges of the city occupaying the western side of the isthmus on which the city stands. This beach received the first white flag in 1987 and has maintained until today the excellent services and standards.

La Caleta Beach

The small beach of La Caleta, in the area of la Via, is probably the second most popular beach in Cadiz after Playa La Victoria.

Santa Maria del Mar Beach

With 400 m long this beach spans the length of the ancient city walls and is the most northern beach of the city.

Costa Ballena/ Rota

is a perfect base to explore the countryside where you will be able to see many acres of olive trees that produce an excellent olive oil, you can enjoy the well-known fish and seafood of Cadiz coast and its varied and cheap tasty groceries. Most of the beaches in this area ara virgin / wild beaches with fine golden sand and dunes, a natural environment that these two resorts protect and defend. Costa Ballena is an area of land four kilometers long and one kilometer wide, with almost four kilometers of its own beaches, next to the Atlantic Ocean. Costa Ballena boasts three international airports in close proximity (Jerez, Seville, Malaga)
